Growing up on the north end of Houston, Ike Leassear got to know his neighborhood at an early age. He was 6 when he started helping his father sell furniture, meeting people and doing business in the community through the years.
It was the same cooperative spirit that got Ike into real estate. He spent four years assisting his wife, Andrea, already a well-regarded Realtor®, with marketing and becoming familiar with her work before getting a license himself in 2019. “I would often work with a lot of her investors who were interested in the Houston area,” he says. “I realized I had a knack for working with investors and people moving to the area.”
Ike’s specialty is what he calls his “seasoned clients” — investors, out-of-state clients, and downsizers. He retains the same affection for his community. “I love how diverse Houston is overall,” he says. “And just being a part of the growth is really exciting.”
Away from work, Ike still serves the town he loves, volunteering in local golf tournaments and HUD building projects. He’s happy to swing a hammer and be a handyman — that’s why his friends call him “Fix-it Ike.” On his own time, Ike likes golf, furniture repair, IT, and a good cigar.
